Robert De Niro is back to his old tricks, folks. The aging Hollywood actor made a spectacle of himself at the Supreme Court on Tuesday, using what should have been a solemn legal proceeding as another opportunity to spew his tired anti-Trump rhetoric.
De Niro appeared at the High Court to observe oral arguments on a major case, but true to form, he couldn't keep his mouth shut about President Trump on his way out. When critics rightfully called out his obvious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, the "Taxi Driver" star brushed off the label like it was some kind of badge of honor.
Same Old Song and Dance
This is the same Robert De Niro who has been having a public meltdown about Trump for nearly a decade now. Remember when he said he wanted to punch Trump in the face? Or when he dropped F-bombs about our president at award shows? The guy simply cannot help himself.
What's particularly pathetic is how De Niro seems to think his opinion matters more than the millions of Americans who democratically elected Trump to a second term. Here's a guy who pretends to be other people for a living, yet he believes he's qualified to lecture the rest of us about politics and leadership.
"The American people have spoken loud and clear, but Hollywood elites like De Niro still can't accept reality," one conservative commentator noted.
While President Trump is busy implementing his America First agenda and delivering real results for working families, De Niro is still stuck in 2016, fighting battles that were settled long ago at the ballot box.
Out of Touch Elite
This Supreme Court stunt perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the Hollywood liberal elite. They live in their ivory towers, completely disconnected from regular Americans, yet they feel entitled to inject their political opinions into every aspect of public life.
The fact that De Niro showed up at the Supreme Court suggests he's either working with left-wing activist groups or he's so consumed by his Trump obsession that he can't even enjoy retirement without making everything political.
How long will these Hollywood has-beens continue embarrassing themselves with their Trump Derangement Syndrome? And more importantly, when will Americans finally tune them out completely?
