Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is under fire after delivering what Republicans are calling a "word salad" response that incredibly compared President Trump's administration to Iran's brutal ayatollah regime.
The controversy erupted when El-Sayed appeared on Fox News and was asked a straightforward question: "Would we all not be better off if the radicals in Iran did not make decisions for the people?"
Instead of condemning Iran's murderous theocracy, El-Sayed shocked viewers by deflecting to attack Trump, saying: "Radicalism is bad, which is why MAGA is so ridiculous."
Social media exploded with outrage over the Democrat's stunning moral equivalence. "BREAKING: Democrat Abdul El-Sayed compares the Trump admin to the Ayatollah," posted @EYakoby, highlighting the candidate's refusal to directly address Iran's oppression.
But El-Sayed's problems don't stop there. The far-left candidate is now facing additional scrutiny for his upcoming campaign rally with notorious anti-American streamer Hasan Piker, known for his Marxist views and antisemitic content.
"Far-left Michigan Senate candidate @AbdulElSayed says his upcoming rally with anti-American Marxist @hasanthehun is no different from his appearance on @FoxNews," Team Trump posted on social media. "El-Sayed is the same guy who didn't want to talk about the extermination of the Ayatollah. Michigan deserves better."
Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers has also weighed in, criticizing El-Sayed for "announcing that he will host campaign rallies with the far-left antisemitic streamer," according to social media reports.
This is exactly the kind of radical, America-hating candidate Democrats are pushing in 2026. While President Trump works to restore American strength and defeat our enemies abroad, Democrats like El-Sayed are literally comparing our commander-in-chief to one of the world's most oppressive regimes.
Michigan voters deserve a Senator who stands with America, not one who can't tell the difference between freedom and tyranny. Will Michigan patriots reject this radical's dangerous moral confusion come election day?
