Virginia Democrats are scrambling after their brazen gerrymandering scheme hit an unexpected roadblock - none other than Barack Obama himself calling out their naked power grab.
The irony is absolutely delicious. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin's predecessor Abigail Spanberger had the audacity to claim their redistricting push was a "response to what we're seeing in other states that have taken extreme measures to undermine democratic norms." Yet here they are, manipulating district lines with surgical precision to boost their election chances.
Democrats have been playing both sides of the redistricting game for decades, and Patriots are finally seeing through their lies. As one social media user pointed out: "Democrats have been gerrymandering TF out of states for decades; Bush even tried to outlaw it in 1989. Virginia Democrats are counting on their voters being hateful or stupid … or both."
"Indiana straight-up said no. Texas only redistricted after Biden sued them," noted political commentator @PolitiBunny, exposing the left's selective outrage over redistricting.
The historical record is crystal clear on who the real gerrymandering culprits are. Virginia News Vanguard reminded Americans that "Virginia DEMOCRATS under the Byrd Organization used gerrymandering & other barriers, such as poll taxes & so-called literacy tests, to suppress the votes of black Virginians & Republicans for decades!"
This is the same party that screams about "voter suppression" and "threats to democracy" every time Republicans win elections. Yet when it comes to their own power grabs, suddenly redistricting becomes about "restoring fairness" and "leveling the playing field."
With Trump back in the White House and Republicans controlling Congress, Americans are waking up to these Democrat dirty tricks. The left's entire playbook relies on projection - accusing conservatives of exactly what they're doing themselves.
Virginia voters deserve better than this cynical manipulation. It's time to reject the Democrats' gerrymandering power grab and demand actual fairness in our elections.
