EXPOSED: Democrat Governor REFUSES to Defend Gerrymandering Scheme in Public Debate

Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger is running scared from defending her own redistricting scheme, refusing to debate former Republican Governor George Allen over the Democrats' brazen attempt to gerrymander four additional House seats in their favor.

With Virginia's April 21 special election rapidly approaching, Spanberger has declined Allen's challenge to publicly defend the controversial redistricting referendum that would redraw the commonwealth's electoral map to benefit Democrats. The refusal has sparked fierce criticism from conservatives who see it as yet another example of Democratic hypocrisy.

"Gov. Abigail Spanberger just ducked a debate on her own election map," posted @ShayneForVA on social media. "Former Gov. George Allen challenged her to defend Virginia's new redistricting referendum in public. She said no. The same people who shout 'protect democracy' won't spend 60 minutes answering questions."

This is classic Democrat behavior, folks. They scream about "protecting democracy" and "voter rights" when it suits their narrative, but when asked to defend their actual policies in the light of day, they suddenly develop stage fright.

Democrats' Gerrymandering Power Grab

The April referendum represents a naked power grab by Virginia Democrats to secure four additional House seats through redistricting manipulation. Instead of letting voters hear both sides of this crucial issue, Spanberger apparently believes her redistricting scheme can't withstand public scrutiny.

Former Governor Allen's willingness to debate stands in stark contrast to Spanberger's cowardice. Allen understands that Virginia voters deserve to hear the arguments for and against this consequential redistricting proposal that could impact representation for years to come.

As the Washington Examiner reported, Allen publicly criticized Spanberger on Friday for her debate dodge, highlighting the governor's unwillingness to defend her own administration's electoral manipulation.

Why won't Spanberger defend her redistricting push in public? What is she hiding from Virginia voters? Patriots across the Old Dominion deserve answers, not political cowardice disguised as gubernatorial duty.

Why won't the mainstream media cover this story? If this was a Republican governor doing the same thing, it would be front page news on every major outlet.

This is exactly why we need independent redistricting commissions. Both parties do this but at least Republicans are usually willing to defend their decisions in public.

The silence speaks volumes. When politicians refuse to explain their actions to the voters, that's usually because they can't justify what they've done.

I've lived in this state for 40 years and I've never seen district lines drawn this badly. My neighborhood got split right down the middle - we used to all vote in the same district and now half of us are in a completely different one that includes parts of the city 30 miles away. Makes no sense except politically.

Same thing happened in our county. They carved up our rural communities to dilute our voice.

COWARD! If you can't defend your actions in the light of day, you shouldn't be doing them in the first place.

What specific evidence do we have that this was intentional gerrymandering versus just standard redistricting? I want to make sure I have the facts straight before I share this with others.

Of course they won't defend it publicly! They know exactly what they're doing and they know it's wrong. Typical Democrat hypocrisy - they scream about 'democracy' but then pull stunts like this when they think no one is watching.

Exactly right. They only care about democracy when it benefits them.
