The Maryland House of Delegates voted Friday to consider expelling Republican Del. Christopher Bouchat for missing legislative sessions, but patriots are asking why Republicans are eating their own while Democrats guilty of far worse violations face zero consequences.
Republican Del. Lauren Arikan introduced the resolution targeting Bouchat, claiming he's been absent from floor votes and committee meetings. But here's where it gets interesting - Bouchat reportedly offered to donate his salary to charities and even left blank $1,000 checks on lawmakers' desks as a gesture of goodwill.
"The lawmakers quickly voided the checks and alerted the General Assembly's ethics counsel," reported one social media user tracking the story. "We have a lot of folks on the floor today who are fighting for their lives. They are sick. They may have cancer," Arikan said defending her expulsion measure.
But wait - let's talk about the REAL scandal here. While Maryland Republicans are crucifying one of their own for attendance issues, Florida Democrat Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick was "found guilty of 25 ethics violations" involving "misuse of COVID-19 funds" and she's still sitting pretty in Congress.
The Swamp's Double Standard EXPOSED
This is exactly the kind of establishment GOP behavior that drove Americans to elect Donald Trump twice. While Democrats literally steal taxpayer money and face minimal consequences, Republicans are ready to throw their own colleagues under the bus for missing meetings.
According to reports, when Bouchat requested accommodations for his absences and "she denied this request, he simply stopped showing up anyway." The man tried to work within the system and even offered financial compensation when that failed.
Meanwhile, the resolution against Bouchat will likely die in the House Rules Committee, making this entire circus nothing more than political theater designed to make Republicans look "ethical" while real corruption goes unpunished.
Americans are tired of spineless Republicans who spend more time policing their own party than fighting the radical left. This Maryland mess perfectly captures why the MAGA movement exists - to drain the swamp on BOTH sides of the aisle.
