The mask is completely off in California, folks. In a stunning display of progressive delusion, Jennifer Siebel Newsom—wife of Governor Gavin Newsom—was caught on video suggesting that violent criminals locked up in San Quentin prison are "probably" there because of some kind of accident.

Yes, you read that correctly. According to California's so-called "First Partner," murderers, rapists, and other dangerous felons apparently just stumbled into their cells by mistake. This is the warped worldview driving policy in a state where crime has exploded under Democratic rule.

The video, first reported by RedState, exposes the lunacy that Patriots have long suspected lurks behind California's soft-on-crime policies. While hardworking Americans face skyrocketing violence and lawlessness, the Newsom family apparently believes criminals are just misunderstood victims of circumstance.

Social media erupted over the revelation, with users expressing outrage at the First Partner's tone-deaf comments. One Twitter user, @B_Smallberries, summed up the frustration perfectly: "Newscum ... the other one Jennifer Newsom Believes Violent San Quentin Prisoners are 'Probably' There because of an Accident 🙄"

Another user, @lewisrashe, called out the Governor directly, stating "Gavin Newsom is slimey. The man barely even believes in capitalism or capital markets as the primary funding mechanism of British American tradition."

The Real Victims Are Forgotten

While Jennifer Newsom makes excuses for violent criminals, what about their victims? What about the families destroyed by these "accidental" predators? This is exactly the kind of backwards thinking that has turned once-beautiful California into a dystopian nightmare of homelessness, crime, and decay.

Under President Trump's leadership, Americans are finally seeing what real law and order looks like. The contrast with California's failed leadership couldn't be starker. While Trump fights to secure our borders and protect innocent Americans, the Newsoms worry about hurt feelings in maximum security prisons.

How long will Californians tolerate this insanity? When will they wake up and demand leaders who actually care about victims instead of coddling criminals?

My store got robbed twice last year and the guy got a slap on the wrist both times. Meanwhile Newsom's wife thinks criminals are just unlucky?

This is why we moved to Texas three years ago. The Newsoms and their cronies have completely lost touch with regular working families who just want to be safe.

Are you kidding me? San Quentin houses death row inmates and she thinks they're there by accident? What about the victims' families?

This is exactly why California is falling apart. When the governor's own wife thinks violent criminals are just misunderstood victims, no wonder crime is skyrocketing!

Couldn't agree more. My property taxes fund this nonsense and I'm sick of it.

I worked in the juvenile system for 15 years before retiring. Trust me, most of these criminals made deliberate choices. The bleeding heart mentality is what's destroying our justice system.

Does anyone have the full quote or video of her saying this? I want to share this with my family but need to make sure I have all the facts straight.

It was from her speech at the criminal justice reform conference last month. Should be on YouTube somewhere.
