Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales (TX-23) is facing fresh allegations of sexual misconduct as a former 2020 campaign staffer has stepped forward with what she claims are damning text messages proving the congressman sexually harassed her.
The bombshell revelation comes as Gonzales is already reeling from his confession to an affair with his regional district director, Regina Santos-Aviles, who tragically took her own life following the relationship. That scandal forced the embattled congressman to suspend his reelection campaign, but apparently, Patriots, that was just the tip of the iceberg.
According to RedState, Gonzales "may have thought that his confession to an affair... would be enough to quell the investigation into his perpetration of other alleged instances of sexual abuse." He thought wrong.
Pattern of Predatory Behavior?
The emergence of this new accuser raises serious questions about whether we're looking at a pattern of predatory behavior from yet another swamp creature who thought his position of power made him untouchable. How many other women has this man victimized? How long has the Republican establishment known about his conduct?
This is exactly the kind of behavior that Patriots across America are sick and tired of from our so-called "representatives." While hardworking Americans are struggling to make ends meet and secure our border, we have RINOs like Gonzales apparently more focused on abusing their staff than serving their constituents.
"The investigation into his perpetration of other alleged instances of sexual abuse" suggests this latest revelation may not be the last shoe to drop in this sordid affair.
Gonzales has been a disappointment to conservatives throughout his tenure, frequently breaking ranks with the America First agenda. Now we see what he was really focused on behind closed doors.
The question remains: will the Republican Party finally hold one of their own accountable, or will they continue to protect the swamp creatures in their ranks? Patriots deserve better than predators masquerading as public servants.
