While American children struggle with basic literacy and math skills, the National Education Association (NEA) - the country's largest teachers' union - has blown a staggering $2 million on protest training and radical activism instead of focusing on actual education.
The shocking revelation exposes what patriots have known for years: teachers' unions care more about pushing their woke political agenda than teaching kids how to read, write, and think critically. The NEA, which represents millions of educators across the nation, continues to funnel member dues into far-left causes while test scores crater and parents revolt.
This is the same union that kept schools closed during COVID while demanding taxpayer bailouts, pushed critical race theory in classrooms, and consistently opposes school choice programs that would give parents alternatives to failing public schools.
Parents and Conservatives Fight Back
Fed-up Americans are speaking out against this educational malpractice. "More spending, worse outcomes, and kids falling behind. Teachers' unions keep pushing the same political agenda while outcomes worsen," tweeted @USAParent. "Students aren't the priority. And it shows."
Education policy expert Daniel Ornelas highlighted the unions' worst nightmare: "There is no more existential threat to teachers unions (and by extension, the Democratic Party) than the realization that education spending does not correlate with outcomes."
"Who really controls education in America?" asked education advocate Marissa Streit, pointing to how "teachers unions use political spending, influence in red states, and systemic advantages to shape education policy often behind the scenes."
Under President Trump's second term, Education Secretary reforms are already targeting union overreach and returning control to parents and local communities. The administration's push for school choice, merit-based teacher evaluation, and elimination of woke curricula directly threatens the unions' stranglehold on American education.
The $2 million protest training scandal is just the tip of the iceberg. How many more millions are being wasted on radical activism while our children fall further behind? It's time to put students first and union bosses last.
