Arkansas Democrat Senate candidate Hallie Shoffner is scrambling to distance herself from Kamala Harris ahead of a planned fundraising visit, announcing she "will not be attending" after being exposed for relying on the twice-failed presidential candidate to bankroll her long-shot campaign against Senator Tom Cotton.
The sudden about-face comes after conservative activists on social media called out Shoffner's hypocrisy in presenting herself as a "moderate farmer" while secretly courting the most radical elements of the Democratic Party for cash.
"The Democrat running for U.S. Senate in Arkansas, Hallie Shoffner, is leaning on Kamala Harris to haul in cash right here in the Natural State," posted @WellsJorda89710 on social media. "She's out there playing the 'moderate farmer' card, but don't buy the act. Shoffner is a hardcore leftist pushing DEI."
Ryan Fournier, a prominent conservative voice, echoed the sentiment: "Shoffner tries to present herself as a moderate, but it's all an act. She is a radical leftist who champions DEI, illegal immigration, and the Green New Scam."
Now that her true colors have been exposed, Shoffner is desperately trying to run away from Harris – the same woman who couldn't even win her home state of California in the 2020 primaries and oversaw the border disaster as Biden's VP.
"This is classic Democrat playbook – pretend to be moderate in red states while taking money from the radical left," said one Arkansas political observer.
Shoffner's supporters are trying to paint her as an authentic Arkansas farmer, with one defender posting that she's "the daughter of a teacher & WWII Air Force Vet" who "will work for you." But actions speak louder than words – and her actions show she was perfectly willing to cash Kamala's checks until she got caught.
Senator Tom Cotton, meanwhile, continues to deliver for Arkansas families while standing strong with President Trump's America First agenda. The contrast couldn't be clearer: a proven conservative fighter versus a Democrat trying to fool voters while secretly plotting with the same failed establishment that gave us open borders and record inflation.
Will Arkansas voters fall for Shoffner's sudden transformation, or will they stick with the real deal in Tom Cotton?
