CNN just handed Americans another perfect example of why the legacy media can't be trusted. The network that spent years pushing Russia collusion hoaxes and Hunter Biden laptop denials has now been caught red-handed promoting fake Iranian propaganda about supposed 'victories' against the United States.
The embarrassing episode unfolded when CNN apparently ran with unverified claims from Iranian sources, desperately trying to paint President Trump's foreign policy in a negative light. But patriots on social media weren't having it, and neither was the President himself.
Social media exploded with mockery of CNN's latest journalistic malpractice. One viral post perfectly captured the absurdity: "CNN: Experts have criticized Trump for his illegal war in Iran. Could this be the end of his presidency?" followed by Trump's characteristic rally response that left supporters laughing and critics seething.
"Meanwhile, you've got this Gump guy. I hate to say it — he's retarded. But then he beats the Chinese at ping pong! I told Xi, folks, even our retards win."
The fake story also claimed that Italian Prime Minister Meloni, a strong Trump ally, had supposedly criticized the United States and banned U.S. Air Force bases. Another social media user highlighted this obvious disinformation: "Italian Prime Minister Meloni, who is on good terms with President Trump, has also criticized the United States and banned the use of U.S. Air Force bases in Italy."
This is the same CNN that lectured Americans about 'misinformation' for four years while Trump was out of office. Now they're literally amplifying enemy propaganda because it fits their anti-Trump narrative.
The incident perfectly illustrates why Trump's war on fake news resonated so deeply with everyday Americans. When the so-called 'most trusted name in news' can't tell the difference between Iranian propaganda and actual journalism, you know the mainstream media has completely lost its way.
How many more times will CNN humiliate themselves before Americans finally tune them out completely?
