Just three weeks into Trump's second term, Democrats are already dusting off their favorite playbook: impeachment theater. When asked whether pushing for impeachment is even feasible given that Democrats are now in the minority, Markey doubled down, insisting "we must proceed towards the goal."
This is the same party that wasted four years of Trump's first term with two bogus impeachment attempts that went absolutely nowhere. Now they're back for round three, proving they've learned nothing from their spectacular failures.
Democrats Still Don't Get It
What makes this latest impeachment fever dream even more absurd is the timing. Trump just delivered the most decisive electoral victory in decades, winning both the popular vote and electoral college in a landslide that sent shockwaves through the establishment.
Americans clearly rejected the Democrats' endless investigations and lawfare tactics in November, yet here's Markey acting like it's 2019 all over again. The disconnect between Washington Democrats and regular Americans has never been more obvious.
"We must proceed towards the goal," Markey told CNN, apparently oblivious to the fact that his party just got steamrolled at the ballot box.
While Trump is busy delivering on his America First agenda – securing the border, unleashing American energy, and cutting government waste through Elon Musk's DOGE initiative – Democrats are stuck in their old patterns of resistance and obstruction.
