EXPOSED: Dem Candidate Says 9/11 Made Her Worried About 'Anti-MUSLIM Bigotry' Instead of Islamic Terror

A Democrat congressional candidate in Iowa has been exposed for penning a tone-deaf op-ed claiming the September 11th terror attacks made her more "aware" of "anti-Muslim bigotry" rather than the very real threat of Islamic terrorism that murdered nearly 3,000 innocent Americans.

Sarah Trone Garriott, who's seeking to represent Iowa in Congress, apparently watched the Twin Towers fall and thought to herself: "How can I make this about protecting Muslims?" Her disgusting take perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the modern Democrat Party's America-Last mentality.

While patriotic Americans were mourning our dead and rallying around the flag, Garriott was busy crafting victim narratives for the very ideology that orchestrated the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor. This is the sick, twisted worldview that defines today's radical left – they literally cannot see Islamic terrorists fly planes into buildings without immediately pivoting to protect the "real victims": Muslims who might face scrutiny.

The Left's Warped Priorities on Full Display

Republicans are rightfully slamming Garriott's outrageous comments, which reveal the fundamental unseriousness of Democrats when it comes to national security. While President Trump is busy securing our borders and putting America First, Democrats like Garriott are more concerned with policing Americans' thoughts than protecting them from foreign threats.

"This is exactly the kind of backwards thinking that nearly destroyed our country under the Biden regime," one GOP source told reporters. "Americans deserve representatives who put our safety first, not terrorist sympathizers."

Garriott's op-ed reads like it was written by someone who learned about 9/11 from a college sociology textbook rather than living through the horror as an American patriot. Her priority wasn't justice for the victims or preventing future attacks – it was making sure nobody said mean things about the religion whose extremists just committed mass murder.

Iowa voters need to ask themselves: Do they want someone representing them in Congress who thinks 9/11 was primarily a lesson in tolerance? Or do they want leaders who understand that America's enemies want us dead, and that our first duty is protecting the homeland?

I remember watching those towers fall on live TV and my first thought was about the victims and their families, not political correctness. How can someone running for office have such misplaced priorities?

This candidate clearly doesn't understand what leadership means - protecting your own people should always come first.

This is exactly what's wrong with the Democrat party today - they're more concerned about hurting feelings than protecting Americans from actual threats.

Couldn't agree more. Their priorities are completely backwards.

Does she not realize that 3,000 innocent Americans died that day? The real victims deserve our focus and remembrance.

As someone who served overseas after 9/11, this kind of thinking is deeply offensive to those who sacrificed everything.
