EXPOSED: Iowa Democrat Pastor Says 9/11 Made Her Worry About 'Anti-Muslim Bigotry' - Seeks Congress Seat

A Democratic congressional candidate in Iowa is under fire after revealing that her takeaway from the September 11 terrorist attacks was concern about "anti-Muslim bigotry" rather than the deadly threat of radical Islamic terrorism that claimed nearly 3,000 American lives.

Sarah Trone Garriott, a Lutheran minister seeking a House seat, made the stunning admission in an opinion piece defending her controversial 2021 decision to read a Muslim prayer on the Iowa Senate floor. According to reports, Garriott wrote that 9/11 made her more aware of "anti-Muslim bigotry" and the "harm" it supposedly caused.

Let that sink in, Patriots. While most Americans remember 9/11 as the day Islamic terrorists flew planes into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, this Democrat pastor apparently saw it as a teaching moment about discrimination against the very ideology that motivated the attacks.

Radical Left Priorities on Full Display

Garriott's twisted perspective perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's Democratic Party. Instead of recognizing the real threat that radical Islam poses to our homeland security, she's more worried about hurting feelings and pushing woke talking points.

This is the same mindset that gave us eight years of Barack Obama refusing to even say "radical Islamic terrorism" and Joe Biden's disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that handed the country back to the Taliban on a silver platter.

"When Democrats see 9/11 and think 'Islamophobia' instead of 'national security threat,' they've completely lost the plot," said one Iowa Republican strategist.

Garriott's comments come as President Trump continues implementing his America First agenda, prioritizing border security and keeping radical ideologies from infiltrating our institutions. The contrast couldn't be clearer between Trump's strong leadership and the Democrat weakness Garriott represents.

Iowa voters deserve better than a congressional candidate who thinks the lesson of 9/11 was to coddle the very ideology that declared war on America. Will Iowans reject this radical left revisionist history, or will they send another America-Last Democrat to Congress?

How does someone like this even get nominated? Iowa voters need to do their homework before election day.

This is exactly what's wrong with the Democrat party today. When Americans were murdered on 9/11, her first thought was protecting the feelings of Muslims instead of mourning our fellow citizens.

Couldn't agree more. I lost a buddy in Tower 2 and this kind of response is just disgusting.

This woman does NOT represent Iowa values. We remember 9/11 for what it was - an attack on America.

I'm a pastor myself and I can't understand this mindset. Yes, we should love all people, but our first response to 9/11 should have been grief for the victims and their families. Where are her priorities?

Thank you for saying this. Real Christian leadership means standing with America in our darkest hours.
