In yet another display of Democrat weakness on national security, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) has the audacity to blame President Trump for potential Iranian terrorism on American soil, rather than holding the murderous Tehran regime accountable for its own actions.
Speaking on CNN International's "The Brief" Wednesday, the Illinois Democrat revealed the Left's backwards thinking on foreign policy, stating his "biggest fear is that the rhetoric that Donald Trump uses, the actions that he takes, could actually provoke them to take preemptive" action against Americans.
Let that sink in, Patriots. According to Krishnamoorthi's twisted logic, it's not Iran's fault if they commit terrorism – it's Trump's fault for standing up to them.
"My biggest fear is that the rhetoric that Donald Trump uses, the actions that he takes, could actually provoke them to take preemptive" action, Krishnamoorthi said.
This is the same weak-kneed mentality that gave us the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal under Obama, which shipped pallets of cash to the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism. Now Democrats want Trump to go soft on Iran to avoid "provoking" them?
What Krishnamoorthi and his fellow Democrats refuse to acknowledge is that strength deters aggression, while weakness invites it. Iran doesn't need to be "provoked" to support terrorism – they've been doing it for decades while Democrats looked the other way.
President Trump's peace-through-strength approach kept Iran in check during his first term, unlike the chaos we saw under Biden when Iran-backed proxies attacked American forces throughout the Middle East.
The real question is: Why are Democrats more concerned about offending Iran's feelings than protecting American lives? This backwards thinking is exactly why voters rejected the weak foreign policy establishment in 2024.
