In yet another display of Democrat weakness on national security, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) actually blamed President Trump for potentially "provoking" Iran into committing terrorist attacks on American soil during a Wednesday CNN International appearance.
Think about the backwards logic here, Patriots. Instead of holding the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism accountable for their actions, this Democrat congressman is pre-emptively blaming our own President for Iran's potential violence against Americans.
"My biggest fear is that the rhetoric that Donald Trump uses, the actions that he takes, could actually provoke them to take preemptive" action, Krishnamoorthi told CNN's "The Brief." This is the same weak-kneed mentality that got us into this mess with Iran in the first place.
The Real Issue: Democrat Appeasement Has Emboldened Iran
What Krishnamoorthi conveniently ignores is that Iran has been plotting against America for decades, long before Trump ever took office. The mullahs in Tehran don't need "provocation" - they've been chanting "Death to America" since 1979 and have never stopped funding terrorism across the Middle East.
This is classic Democrat victim-blaming. When Islamic terrorists attacked us on 9/11, did we blame ourselves for "provoking" them? When Iran takes American hostages, do we apologize for being too strong? This mindset is exactly why the Biden administration's weakness emboldened our enemies worldwide.
"The only thing Iran understands is strength, and President Trump has consistently shown that America will not be intimidated by terrorist regimes."
President Trump's approach of peace through strength has actually prevented conflicts, not caused them. Under his previous administration, we eliminated top Iranian terrorist Qasem Soleimani and Iran didn't dare retaliate against Americans directly.
America First Means Never Apologizing for Strength
The Trump-Vance administration won't bow to terrorist regimes or walk on eggshells to avoid "provoking" America's enemies. That's the failed Obama-Biden doctrine that gave Iran billions in cash and emboldened their aggression.
Real Americans understand that you don't prevent terrorism by being weak - you prevent it by making terrorists fear the consequences of attacking us. Krishnamoorthi's cowardly stance perfectly exemplifies why voters rejected Democrat weakness and chose Trump's America First leadership.
