A radical Iowa Democrat pastor running for Congress has sparked outrage after revealing that her main takeaway from the September 11 terrorist attacks was concern about 'anti-Muslim bigotry' rather than the 3,000 innocent Americans who were murdered by Islamic extremists.

Sarah Trone Garriott, a Lutheran minister seeking a congressional seat, penned an opinion piece defending her controversial 2021 decision to read a Muslim prayer in the Iowa Senate. In the piece, Garriott claimed that 9/11 made her more aware of 'anti-Muslim bigotry' and the 'harm' it caused - completely ignoring the actual harm caused by radical Islamic terrorists who flew planes into buildings.

This is the warped mindset of today's Democratic Party, folks. While normal Americans remember 9/11 as the day foreign terrorists declared war on our homeland and slaughtered thousands of our fellow citizens, woke leftists like Garriott somehow twisted that tragedy into a lesson about protecting the feelings of the very religious group whose extremists carried out the attacks.

Priorities Completely Backwards

Garriott's statement perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the radical left's approach to national security and American values. Instead of focusing on the real victims - the firefighters, police officers, office workers, and airline passengers who died that day - she's more concerned about potential hurt feelings.

This is exactly the kind of America-Last thinking that President Trump swept out of Washington, and it's why voters rejected Democrats so decisively in 2024.

While Trump's second-term administration works to secure our borders and put America First, Democrats like Garriott are still playing the same tired identity politics game that prioritizes political correctness over patriotism.

Iowa voters deserve better than a congressional candidate who can't even properly honor the victims of 9/11. Will they reject this woke nonsense at the ballot box, or will they send another radical leftist to Washington?

Unbelievable. The victims' bodies were still in the rubble and he's worried about hurt feelings? This woke mentality has infected even our churches now.

This is why I left my old church. When pastors start putting politics over faith and country, it's time to find a new place of worship.

This is exactly what's wrong with our country today. On the day 3,000 innocent Americans died, this pastor's first thought was about protecting the feelings of the ideology that attacked us? Where are his priorities?

Couldn't agree more. I lost a buddy in Tower 2 and this kind of backwards thinking is a slap in the face to every family who lost someone that day.

How does someone like this even get elected in Iowa? I thought we had more common sense than that. This pastor needs to remember his duty is to his congregation and his country, not virtue signaling.
