In a world gone completely mad, we now have a 6-foot statue erected to honor Magawa, a rat who detected landmines. Yes, you read that right – a RAT is getting more recognition than most of America's fallen heroes.
While this story might seem like harmless fluff, it perfectly captures the upside-down priorities of our current culture. Here we are, with President Trump working tirelessly to restore dignity to our military and honor our veterans, and the international community is busy building monuments to rodents.
Don't get me wrong – Magawa apparently did good work detecting unexploded ordnance in Cambodia. But let's put this in perspective, patriots. How many statues have been torn down by leftist mobs in recent years? How many memorials to our founding fathers and Civil War heroes have been destroyed while the woke mob cheered?

This rat statue is just another symptom of a society that has lost its way. While Magawa gets a 6-foot monument, our border patrol agents get vilified. While a bomb-sniffing rodent gets international acclaim, our police officers get defunded and demonized.
The same people celebrating this rat statue are probably the ones who wanted to remove Mount Rushmore and rename military bases. They'll honor anything except actual American heroes who bled for this country.
"There are certain things I don't imagine writing about when I sit down at the computer to cover the news," noted RedState, pointing out the absurdity of having to cover rat statues while serious threats like Iran and China loom large.
Meanwhile, President Trump continues his vital work of rebuilding American strength and securing our borders – work that actually matters for the safety and prosperity of real Americans, not photo-op statues for social media virtue signaling.
Maybe it's time we focused on honoring the humans who risk everything for freedom instead of building shrines to rats. Just a thought.
