BREAKING: Chuck Grassley Names Ted Cruz and Mike Lee as TOP Picks for Supreme Court

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is wasting no time preparing for what could be President Trump's next Supreme Court appointment, floating two rock-solid conservative senators as his top recommendations for the nation's highest court.

Speaking to the Washington Examiner on Tuesday, Grassley specifically named Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) as ideal candidates for the Supreme Court as Washington buzzes with speculation that Justice Samuel Alito may soon announce his retirement.

This is exactly the kind of forward-thinking strategy patriots want to see from Republican leadership. Instead of scrambling when a vacancy opens up, Grassley is already identifying proven constitutional conservatives who would defend our founding principles for decades to come.

Constitutional Warriors Ready for Battle

Both Cruz and Lee bring impressive constitutional credentials that would make liberal heads explode. Cruz, a former Supreme Court clerk and Texas Solicitor General, has argued multiple cases before the high court and consistently championed originalist interpretation of the Constitution. Lee, a former federal prosecutor and constitutional scholar, has been one of the Senate's most principled defenders of limited government and individual liberty.

"These are exactly the kind of nominees who would drive the radical left absolutely insane – and that's exactly why they're perfect for the job," one conservative judicial activist told Next News Network.

The timing couldn't be better for President Trump to potentially secure his fourth Supreme Court appointment. With Republicans firmly in control of the Senate and a proven track record of confirming exceptional justices like Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett, Trump has the political capital to push through another originalist champion.

While Justice Alito hasn't officially announced any retirement plans, the 75-year-old conservative stalwart would be wise to step down while Trump can name his successor. This strategic thinking has already given conservatives like Justice Amy Coney Barrett decades of influence on the court.

Can you imagine the liberal meltdown if "Lyin' Ted" Cruz or Mike Lee joined the Supreme Court? The same Democrats who've spent years attacking both senators would have to watch them shape American jurisprudence for the next 30 years. Now that's what we call winning.

Finally some judges who won't legislate from the bench! Both have proven track records of judicial restraint.

Ted Cruz would be incredible on SCOTUS. His legal background is rock solid - argued multiple cases before the Court as Texas Solicitor General. The man knows constitutional law inside and out.

Outstanding choices! Both Cruz and Lee have consistently shown they understand the Constitution as written, not as they wish it was. Grassley knows what he's talking about.

Absolutely agree. Cruz has been fighting for constitutional principles since day one in the Senate.

Love Mike Lee's commitment to limiting federal overreach. Question though - would either of them actually leave the Senate for a Court appointment? Seems like they have a lot of influence where they are.

Supreme Court is a lifetime appointment with even more influence. I think either would take it in a heartbeat.
