Here we go again, folks. Just when President Trump is delivering on his promise of mass deportations and securing our border, a Republican In Name Only is trying to undermine America First policies with tired, virtue-signaling nonsense.
Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL) is pushing her fellow Republicans to pass her so-called "DIGNIDAD Act" - which is nothing more than amnesty dressed up in fancy Spanish - to "prove" to Democrats that the GOP isn't racist. Because apparently, enforcing our immigration laws and putting American citizens first makes us the bad guys?
This is exactly the kind of weak-kneed, establishment thinking that got us into this immigration mess in the first place. While President Trump and his administration are working tirelessly to deport illegal aliens and restore law and order to our southern border, Salazar wants to reward lawbreakers with a path to citizenship.
Playing the Democrats' Game
The most infuriating part? Salazar thinks Republicans need to "prove" they're not racist by capitulating to the radical left's open-borders agenda. News flash, Congresswoman: enforcing immigration law isn't racist - it's called following the Constitution and protecting American sovereignty.
This is the same tired playbook we've seen for decades. Democrats scream "racism" every time conservatives want to enforce immigration laws, and establishment Republicans scramble to prove they're "not the bad guys" by abandoning their principles and betraying their voters.
President Trump didn't win a decisive victory in 2024 so Republicans could immediately cave to Democrat pressure and grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Americans voted for deportations, not capitulation.
America First, Not Amnesty First
While Trump's team - led by border czar Tom Homan and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem - is busy implementing the largest deportation operation in American history, Salazar wants to roll out the red carpet for lawbreakers.
Here's a better idea, Congresswoman: instead of trying to prove you're not racist to people who will never vote for you anyway, how about proving to your constituents that you actually support the America First agenda they elected you to advance?
Patriots, this is exactly why we need to primary these RINOs who care more about their reputation in Washington cocktail parties than the safety and prosperity of the American people. The swamp runs deep - even in our own party.
