The Smithsonian National Museum of American History is under fire as Cully Stimson, a senior legal fellow from The Heritage Foundation, demands a complete leadership overhaul. Stimson's call comes amid concerns over the museum's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) exhibits, which he claims are filled with 'bile' and foster a culture of self-loathing.

Critics argue that Anthea Hartig, the museum's director, has allowed the Smithsonian to become a platform for anti-American sentiment rather than a celebration of the nation's achievements. Stimson's commentary has added fuel to a growing bonfire of opposition against the woke narrative that many Americans feel undermines the nation’s proud history.

"It's nothing short of indoctrination, and it’s an assault on the ideals that make this country great," asserted Stimson. Tweeting under the hashtag #FoxNews, @lisamann5858 remarked on the expert’s demand for a leadership shake-up, emphasizing the concerns over 'bile' in museum displays.

@LisaRaymondAZ didn’t mince words either, suggesting on social media that Hartig should 'give up 95% of her earnings & live up to her Socialist/Communist ideologies, then fire her.' This sentiment echoes amongst many who believe the leadership is failing to uphold the museum’s duty to honor America’s legacy.

IS THE SMITHSONIAN LIVING UP TO ITS MISSION?

Americans come from all walks of life to view our nation's priceless history, not to be subjected to a one-dimensional narrative that seeks to shame the past. This is a betrayal of taxpayers who fund these institutions expecting an unbiased, authentic recounting of events.

Folks, the battle to preserve the American story as one of triumph, innovation, and leadership is at a critical juncture. Patriots demand nothing less than the truth to be celebrated, not twisted.

In a time when America is under siege from those seeking to rewrite its past for political gain, will the Smithsonian take a stand, or continue to bow to woke pressures? Our history is a testament to resilience—shouldn’t its depiction be the same?

The fight for truth in our national institutions is far from over. Is it time for Americans to demand accountability and balance in their cultural repositories?

This article hits the nail on the head. The Smithsonian has lost its way, and it's frustrating to see it become a platform for self-loathing instead of a beacon of pride for our nation.

I took my kids to the Smithsonian last year and was shocked by how negative some exhibits were. If we can't celebrate our history there, where can we?

Absolutely! We need to highlight achievements, not push agendas.

Does anyone know how these exhibit decisions are made? It seems like they've taken a really drastic turn in recent years.

I believe it's a mix of the board and curatorial staff, but public opinion doesn't seem to influence enough.
