The legacy media is at it yet again, pushing another sob story about Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) detainment of illegal aliens with families, inevitably pointing towards so-called family separation. Of course, this tactic is to paint the Trump administration's robust immigration policies in a negative light. This narrative conveniently ignores President Trump's commitment to upholding American laws and borders, which is massively popular among everyday Americans.
In the latest episode, a Twitter user, @ReillyBelle57, highlighted a story shared by the New York Times where an individual's wife was detained by ICE at an airport. The individual, a consistent supporter of President Trump's policies, was seemingly surprised by the enforcement of immigration laws. The tweet ironically mentioned, "He said he thought Trump’s agenda was only to go after illegals that were criminals." Well, surprise, folks, entering a country illegally is, in fact, a criminal act!
These stories, peddled by the legacy media with emotional undertones, often fall apart upon closer inspection. They staunchly focus on emotional appeals without fully addressing the legality or facts surrounding these detainments. It's almost as if they expect Americans to forget about the rule of law in favor of melodrama.
LEGACY MEDIA DRUMS UP DRAMA
The media's fascination with the 'family separation' narrative is no surprise. It’s a tried-and-true method used by those seeking to undermine a robust 'America First' immigration policy that Trump champions. The media has not learned from their past missteps or inaccuracies when depicting these situations. Who could forget when Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posed for a tearful photo-op at the border years back?
"NYT Gift article for you to read: This gentleman, a three time Trump voter FAFO," reads the tweet mocking the shock of a man witnessing law enforcement in action.
American citizens want security and legality in our immigration process, not chaos and lawlessness. Republicans have been crystal clear about enforcing immigration laws fairly and firmly. Yet the mainstream media, and the social media figures echoing them, continually twist these stories to fit their anti-Trump rhetoric.
Patriots, it is incumbent on us to continue questioning these narratives and asking ourselves: Why is the truth so often omitted in favor of fiction? For how long will Americans tolerate the media's manipulative tactics?
