At a campaign stop at a restaurant roughly 20 miles west of Richmond, McGuire offered a full-throated defense of the Trump agenda, according to an exclusive interview with the Washington Examiner. The Virginia Republican pointed to border security, tax cuts, manufacturing investment, and what he described as a dramatic reduction in crime and drug trafficking as the pillars of his case for a second term in Virginia's 5th Congressional District.
The event drew a heavyweight guest: Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus and one of Trump's most loyal allies on Capitol Hill. Jordan told the room it was imperative to keep McGuire in office so the president's agenda could continue, per the Examiner.
The Record McGuire Is Running On
McGuire is touting the Republican legislation signed by Trump that eliminates federal taxes on tips and overtime and reduces taxes on Social Security income.
