Breaking: Biden Admin Depletes The Strategic Petroleum Reserve, With No Timeline For Refill

There’s a saying that “Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it,” and it looks like the government has skimmed over all the evidence. Any common sense human being knows not to dip into their emergency supply unless absolutely necessary– this simple principle, however, seems to have gone unheard by many in Washington D.C; specifically the white house.

The rightfully earned  worst White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre recently discussed the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which has been improperly tapped to manipulate gas prices on multiple occasions.  Karine Jean-Pierre refused to confirm that the reserve would be used again, and was unable to provide a timeline on refilling it. This is worrying news for many Americans who still feel economic pressure due to high fuel costs. With the Biden Administration having already used this supply of oil at least twice now, and being unable to state when they plan to refill the emergency supply. This Administration is a ticking time boom and it’s only a matter of time when time runs out.

Town hall reports,

The White House’s Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to rule out tapping the Strategic Petroleum Reserve again as gas prices continue to rise Friday afternoon. Additionally, she failed to explain when the Biden administration plans to replenish the reserve.

As most of us are aware, President Joe Biden depleted the SPR to historically low levels not seen since the 1970s to mitigate the political problem of high gas prices ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. As a result of Biden’s war on oil and gas, high prices are self-inflicted by activists who are inefficient and push alternative energy.

Meanwhile, House Republicans work to prevent Biden from abusing SPR.

Congressman Byron Donald’s press tweeted Friday, Today the House of Representatives voted 221-205 to pass the Strategic Production Response Act. After nearly a year of President Biden’s reckless, non-emergency draw-downs of our Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the @HouseGOP has taken direct action to protect our national security.

Rep Steve Scalise tweeted: Biden has raided 40% of America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve to keep gas prices artificially low so his approval rating doesn’t drop even more. This bill simply requires he provide a plan to replenish it before he raids it. This shouldn’t be partisan. It’s common sense.

Here is Scalise breaking down the issue on the House floor.

Rep. Steve Scalise certainly has a point when he talks about the protection of our emergency reserve. After all, it is hard to imagine what would happen if we were to run out and had nowhere else to turn. With President Biden’s lack of support for American oil production, any reserves that we currently have could diminish quickly with no way to refill them. We rely on much of our oil exports from countries like Saudi Arabia and Russia – both of which already have rocky relationships with the U.S., particularly in the case of Russia. That is why Republicans winning the majority was absolutely necessary; with their help we can gain back ground and possibly protect the limited resources that remain in our reserve before Biden even thinks of draining it dry.
