Delusional is probably the best word to describe House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Maybe not Biden-level of delusion where you are fighting breakfast cereals, but delusional enough that she actually claimed that Democrats in Congress WON on Roe v Wade.

Speaker Pelosi was interviewing with CNN‘s Dana Bash when the issue of Democrat’s failed recent attempt to codify Roe v Wade came up. Bash seemingly tried to give Pelosi a way out, asking her if there was some sort of long game strategy to protect abortion access. Instead of taking the rope to save her life, Pelosi hung herself with it.

“This is not about a long game.” The aged Congresswoman squawked, before proceeding on with an even more wild claim. “We played a long game – we won Roe v. Wade a long time ago. We voted to protect it over time. We have elected a Democratic House of Representatives that is pro-choice.”

Just to be clear, the Democrats have had multiple super majorities since the decision of Roe v Wade was handed down from the Supreme Court in 1973. They have never even once made a real attempt to codify the decision into law despite Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg warning the Court’s logic could fail at some point.

Still, Pelosi was quick to deflect the anger to a new villain, the Judicial Branch! She told Bash, “Let’s not take our eye off the ball,. The ball is: This Court, which is dangerous to the freedoms of our country.”

Dana Bash, clearly getting fed up with Pelosi and her dodging, asked if the Democrat leaders like herself “should have seen this coming” with 50 years to prepare.

“Who would have ever suspected that a creature like Donald Trump would become President of the United States,” Pelosi fired back at her liberal former-ally. “Wading a list of judges that he would appoint – therefore getting the support of the far-right. And appointing those anti-freedom justices to the court.”

Pelosi’s answers reeked of weakness, not leadership. She was so consumed with her obvious failure that she damaged her own image even worse. Do you think the end of Roe v Wade as a decision from the Court will also spell the end for Pelosi and her position in the Democrat party? Do you think she will be successful with overthrowing the Supreme Court like said?
