Hunter Biden’s Ex-Wife Kathleen Buhle went on ABC’s Good Morning America to talk about the struggles of being married to Hunter Biden including his drugs, cheating, and business dealings with his family.
In the interview, Buhle admitted that she allowed Hunter Biden to have total control of their finances despite knowing of his drug addiction and habits. According to her, she liked receiving “nice things” as gifts so she “kept her head buried in the sand.”
“It’s embarrassing to say that I ceded all financial control to my husband, and kept my head buried in the sand,” she said. “I liked the nice things, and I didn’t want to think about the cost at which they were coming,” Hunter’s ex-wife said
Buhle told Amy Robach that Hunter Biden waited until 2003, 10 years into their marriage, to even tell her he was in tax debt. She said his confession was sparked by his newfound sobriety after one of his stints in rehab.
Robach confronted Kathleen Buhle about images found on Hunter Biden’s laptop, asking if she remembers him that way. She said she didn’t recognize him, adding, “But drugs are awful. He was struggling under a massive drug addiction, and that’s heartbreaking and painful and that wasn’t who I was married to.”
Kathleen gave a non-answer when asked if she had ever seen Hunter using his father’s name and identity to curry favor or seek financial benefit. Instead of a direct response, she simply responded, “I saw someone who loved his father, respected his parents, and was, you know, he was proud to be their son.”
Hunter Biden also famously cheated on Kathleen with Halie Biden, the widow of his recently dead brother, Beau Biden. Hunter’s ex-wife was asked about this period as well, but pointed back to his rampant drug use saying, “I just didn’t recognize him and it’s the addiction.”
