This month, fans were concerned for Tom Hanks’ health after he was seen being unable to stop the shaking of his arm while holding a microphone at a movie promotion in the city of Gold Coast, Australia.
Hanks is promoting the movie Elvis, directed by Baz Luhrmann, which he plays the role of the famous singer’s manager. The movie centers around their relationship.
During a promotion for the movie, Hanks’ right hand can be seen shaking as he talks to the crowd about why he loves the city so much. The director Baz Luhrmann is Australian and arranged for a movie premier to be held there.
“There is no better place in the world to make a motion picture than right here on the Gold Coast,” he said into the microphone in his right hand.
“I’ve shot films in Morocco and Los Angeles and New York City and Seattle and in Berlin,” continued Hanks.
“None of them have what the Gold Coast have, and what is that? Two words. None of those other cities have Dan Murphy,” he joked, in a reference to Dan Murphy liquor stores in Australia. “What a man, who I got to know quite well.”
His hand can be seen shaking while he tries to control it with his other hand. He then tries to switch hands.
Remember, Hanks played a soldier in World War II for the movie Saving Private Ryan, whose hands also shook when he was under stress.
Lisa Marie Presley praised Baz Luhrmann’s biopic of her father’s story. She was young when her father was alive, but she says that the lead actor, Austin Butler, did a great job.
“I was quite young, but I still remember my father’s energy and his vibe. And Austin, he — what’s the word? — he nailed it,” she said.

The movie has a 78 percent on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and Butler’s imitation of Elvis Presley has received rave reviews. The movie focuses on the life of Presley seen through relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks.
In 2013, Hanks told David Letterman that he had experienced high blood sugar for 20 years.
He told Letterman about what his doctor told him at the time, “You know those high blood sugar numbers you’ve been living with since you were 36, well you’ve graduated. You’ve got type 2 diabetes young man.”
Hanks is one of America’s most beloved actors. Hopefully it’s just a small tremor and not news of something worse. The Elvis biopic looks interesting, though, and it’s good that Liza Marie Presley believes it’s a good representation of her father. Do you think Tom Hanks is healthy or not?
