Joe Biden was caught using a cheat sheet during a meeting with US wind energy executives this week.
The sheet embarrassingly speaks to Biden like a child, referring to him in YOU in all caps, seemingly to stop him from getting confused.
The note starts by telling the sitting President how to walk inside a room, saying, “YOU enter the Roosevelt Room.”
Almost implying that the President would take the wrong seat it specified, “YOU take YOUR seat.”
His handlers also told him to limit how long he speaks to reporters despite him being the leader of the entire country, saying, “YOU give brief comments (2 minutes).”
The cheat sheet then told Biden to pause and wait for the reporters to leave the room before instructing him to help the top union leader in the nation look good.
“YOU ask Liz Shuler, President, AFL-CIO, a question” it said.
Then as though a career politician in the White House wouldn’t remember something this simple, it read, “YOU thank participants” and “YOU depart.”
Biden has often struggled with his handlers. They frequently want to limit his speech, and often offer corrections to statements he makes, such as his threat to remove Putin from power and his aversion to challenging China over Taiwan.
A day after the Putin comment, Biden’s own Chief of Staff Ron Klain retweeted a message from CNN’s John Harwood saying that Biden’s statement “represented a significant lapse in discipline”.
NBC even reported last month that the President was getting upset with them over their censorship and corrections, believing it undermines his authority and makes him seem inauthentic.
