President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden met with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain at the NATO summit hosted at the Royal Palace in Madrid, Spain.
During the encounter, Biden can be seen putting his hands all over Queen Letizia. After the photo op, he puts his hand on her again and Jill Biden and the King can be seen looking on. The First Lady seems that she is worried and is watching to make sure her husband does not make any mistakes.
First Lady Jill Biden was wearing a Hillary Clinton-esque, white pantsuit to the formal greeting and open-toed sandals.
Queen Letizia looked amazing in her beautiful black dress with her hair pulled back in a bun.
On the other hand, the President and First Lady acted un-serious. They cracked jokes when meeting the leaders and Biden put his hands all over the queen.
The next day, Biden joked that he may not come back from Spain as his approval rating hits an all-time low since massive inflation we have not seen since 1981. Watch.
“There’s an old expression in a little town in Delaware called Claymont, Del, a little steel town. And they say, ‘We’re like poor relatives. We show up when we’re invited and we stay longer than we should.’ So be careful. We may not go back,” Biden joked.
Biden’s approval rating is now at a record-low 38.8 percent. What’s worse, 56.9 percent of Americans now disapprove of his performance as President, according to a RealClearPolitics poll. At the same time during his presidency, Trump had a 43.3 percent approval rating.
Biden was in Madrid for a NATO dinner to talk about arming Ukraine more. He came to Spain by way of Germany where he met with G-7 leaders. French President Macron was seen on camera talking to him.
