We live in a pretty weird and sad time. Statues were torn down, words are being changed, definitions are being re-written to suit political need. Now in New York, you cannot legally refer to someone as a “salesman” or an inmate as an inmate. Woke policies and laws are being put into place that are attempting to change American culture and terminology.
Ny Post writes. Legislation signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul Thursday replaces the word “salesman” with “salesperson” – the latest move by Albany toward gender-neutral language.
A Democrat state senator, Anna Kaplan, sponsored the bill with Democratic Assemblyman Danny O’Donnell, stating, “Jobs have no gender, but unfortunately, many of our state’s laws still use gendered language when discussing professions that are practiced by people of all genders.”
New York Governor Kathy Hochul did not stop there additional gender neutral terms were implemented statewide.
Fox news reports. According to a new law, prisoners will no longer be referred to as “inmates,” but rather as “incarcerated individuals.”
The legislation was signed by Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Monday. According to her, removing the word “inmate” will “reduce harmful stigma against incarcerated people.”
I’m pretty sure the victims of inmates – I’m sorry Incarcerated Persons – don’t care what the Governor has to say about terminology being used, they were the victims of a criminal. More so, the liberal agenda of eroding American culture is never ending. Goes to show you when they went after Chase from Puppy Patrol, they will go after anything.
