In what can only be seen as a power move by President Darth Brandon, he has forced California Governor Gavin Newsom to make a tough decision: support the newly forming farmer’s union or face their wrath. While Newsom has not yet commented on his decision, it is sure to spark plenty of controversy in a state that is already dealing with a lot of political turmoil.
A new and unexpected voice is in Governor Gavin Newsom’s ear as he considers vetoing another California farm worker union bill: President Joe Biden. A bill that would allow farmworkers to vote by mail in union elections was backed by Biden over Labor Day weekend. Those in favor of the measure say it will make organizing easier and less intimidating.
“Farmworkers worked tirelessly and at great personal risk to keep food on America’s tables during the pandemic,” Biden said. “In the state with the largest population of farmworkers, the least we owe them is an easier path to make a free and fair choice to organize a union. I am grateful to California’s elected officials and union leaders for leading the way.”
This is actually a master stroke by the Biden Whitehouse against a top contender for the 2024 presidential ticket.

By supporting a minor measure for strawberry pickers in California, many of whom are not even Americans, Brandon has set up one of the ascendant Democrats for a decision that will dim his prospects nationwide. In either case, Newsom can either support this measure and join the Biden/Pelosi wing while presenting himself as a labor supporter while losing the big money oligarchs that might fund his campaign in the process, or he can side with the Chamber of Commerce oligarchs and get skewered by the leftist press for “oppressing” migrants.

It will be interesting to see what Newsom decides, as this could have large ramifications for his political career. However, it’s important to remember that Darth Brandon is still watching, and he won’t stop pressuring the Governor until he gets what he wants.
