President Trump is reacting after a new development in the Russia hoax has become public.
According to the New York Post, Newly unsealed court documents reveal that the Russian analyst charged with lying to the FBI about his role in the infamous “Steele dossier” was a paid confidential human source for the FBI.
According to special counsel John Durham’s filing, Igor Danchenko became a paid FBI informant in March 2017 – months after he began answering questions about his involvement in the dossier on President Donald Trump.
As part of Durham’s investigation into the origins of the FBI’s Russia investigation, Danchenko, a Russian-born lawyer in Virginia, was arrested in November last year.
As a result, he pleaded not guilty to five charges of making false statements about some of the information he provided to Christopher Steele, a former British spy who was paid by Democrats for intelligence on Russia-Trump ties during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Danchenko collected information for Steele’s private intelligence firm about Trump’s potential ties to Russia, some of which was used in the now-discredited dossier.
In Danchenko’s indictment, he lied about several claims. Later, Danchenko admitted to the FBI that the scandalous detail was based on “rumor and speculation.”
As noted by RedState News, As far as the government has admitted, Durham’s filing is one of the strongest so far. It reveals ties between Clinton’s campaign and the FBI’s counterintelligence probe into Trump’s campaign, “Crossfire Hurricane.”
Trump reacted to the new revelations on TRUTH Social, writing, “The biggest story of them all. They worked with the Russians, not “Trump.” It was all made up by the FBI and their SleazeBag friends. Then we’re supposed to trust them?”
He also said, “FBI working with Russia to get Trump. If this were reversed, it would be the biggest story in 50 years. The Fake News Media does everything possible not to cover it – but the people know!”
