In America congress has the power of the purse, meaning that any expenditures must be approved by congress, not by a presidential executive order.
Fox news reports. As the national debt approaches $31 trillion, President Biden has issued nearly 100 executive orders, which will cost taxpayers up to $1.5 trillion.
Since taking office, Biden has issued 99 executive orders. During his first year, he issued more than any president since the 1970s. Some of Biden’s orders and regulatory items have been influenced by left-wing groups financed by liberal billionaire George Soros.
Each order is accompanied by a budgetary impact analysis, but does not include actual monetary costs. As a result, they contain vague language such as whether an order will have no impact, increase or decrease federal costs.
Due to this, it is difficult to determine the exact cost of Biden’s actions. According to a federal budget expert, the costs are estimated to be north of $1 trillion.
The heritage Foundation’s Matthew Dickerson said in an interview that “ President Biden’s executive actions have cost taxpayers more than $1 trillion so far, That’s taking into account the recent student loan executive action, which could cost up to $1 trillion.” Dickerson continued “But earlier this year, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office produced an analysis showing that less than ten of Biden’s earlier executive actions cost taxpayers already more than $500 billion,” Dickerson said.
“So it could be up to $1.5 trillion in cost to taxpayers just on executive actions, not legislation going through Congress and being signed into law and being debated,” Dickerson added. “It’s just pure executive actions taken by Biden costing taxpayers up to $1.5 trillion.”
We live in a country that has a very specific set of laws that dictate how the 3 co-equal branches of government are to operate. When those laws are broken, intentionally the other branches are supposed to check the power of the 3rd branch. We are not seeing that here, it appears that the executive branch is out of control, and the other branches are doing nothing about it.
