On Wednesday, President Biden asked a number of times where “Jackie” was during a White House event on hunger, nutrition and health.
Townhall reports, it was a reference to Republican Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, who died in a car accident this year with two of her staffers.
During the event, a tribute was played to Walorski, who dedicated her life to the cause. Biden appeared to forget about this, because his call for the late congresswoman happened after the tribute was played.
This all comes after Biden himself even released a statement following the congresswoman’s death and ordered the flags to be flown at half-mast.Â
It didn’t take long for reporters to question Biden’s press secretary about this.
As the Washington Examiner reports, in the mistake, Biden named “congressional champions” for food security and acknowledged her “incredible work,” according to Karine Jean-Pierre, Biden’s press secretary.
It should be noted that Jean-Pierre did not offer an apology to Walorski’s family.
Representative Walorski’s family must be absolutely devastated that the President of the United States disrespected them in front of the world. What’s worse is that his press secretary offered no apology or sympathy for them either. The Biden administration is truly heartless.Â
