In a stunning turn of events, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has announced that he will be removing Representative Ilhan Omar from the key committee she sits on after taking reins in the House.
Conservative Brief reports, as the new Republican majority takes office in January, Kevin McCarthy is wasting no time in preparing to replace Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
The California Republican said on Saturday that he plans to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) from the House Foreign Affairs Committee for “antisemitic” remarks in the past.
Fox News added, several controversial comments made by Omar since her election to Congress have been widely deemed to perpetuate antisemitic tropes, including her claim that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee is all about the Benjamins.
Epoch times notes, several times in recent years, Omar, a Muslim immigrant of Somali descent, has been condemned for her remarks about the U.S.-Israel relationship, including by her party’s leadership.
It’s not the first time McCarthy has suggested expelling Omar. He said in a January interview with Breitbart that Republicans should take control of the House after the midterm elections if they are able to oust Reps. Omar, Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), and Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.).
According to McCarthy, the two Californian Democrats shouldn’t remain on the House Intelligence Committee. Swalwell’s affair with an alleged Chinese Communist Party spy, and Schiff’s role in promoting the false claim that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, were both cited.
Good riddens to bad rubbish! I say kick them out! It’s about time somebody took a stand against these so-called representatives. Schiff, Swalwell, and Omar have been nothing but losers since they took office. Schiff promoted the false claim that Trump colluded with Russia, Swalwell had an affair with an alleged Chinese Communist Party spy, and Omar made “antisemitic” remarks. They’re all garbage and they don’t deserve to be in office. I’m glad McCarthy is finally taking action and removing them from their committees. It’s about time somebody showed those losers who’s boss. Goodbye and good riddance!
