Ted Cruz (R-TX) is running for reelection to the Senate in 2024, but he is not ruling out a later run for the Republican presidential nomination.
The Washington Examiner writes, four days after President Donald Trump announced his bid to reclaim the White House, Cruz spoke at an annual gathering of the Republican Jewish Coalition, considered the unofficial start of the GOP campaign for the 2024 nomination.
Cruz confirmed that he would seek a third term in the Senate in a subsequent news conference, however, at the same time, refused to close the door on a 2024 White House bid.
When Cruz ran for the Republican nomination in 2016, he finished second to Trump.
Next up is Kanye West, who has officially announced his intentions to run for president in 2024 and has hired Milo Yiannopolous as his campaign manager.
In a video posted to Twitter Sunday, West confirmed that Yiannopoulos is working on his campaign and showcased his campaign merchandise.
Crazy days we’re living in, indeed. What’s equally crazy is even Nikki Halley, Trump’s former Un Ambassador and turncoat, has once again implied that she plans to challenge former President Donald Trump in 2024.
Speaking at a meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas, Haley said that she is considering running for the White House “in a serious way.”
These days, it seems like everyone’s got their eye on the 2024 election. First, we had Ted Cruz drop some big news about his plans for the future. Then, Kanye West announced his intention to run for president, and now Nikki Haley is also hinting at a potential White House bid.
In a time when the country is already so divided, it’s hard to imagine that any of these candidates would stand a chance against Donald Trump. After all, he’s got a loyal base of voters who are willing to support him no matter what. Plus, he’s got the name recognition that comes with being the former president and reality TV star.
It’s like we’re living in a clown world where anything goes. It’s hard to take any of this seriously when it feels like we’re just watching one big clown show. But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, I’ll be popping some popcorn and getting ready for the circus that is sure to come.
