This year, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem received a flamethrower from her staff.
In a video posted on Twitter by RealClear Politics reporter Philip Wegmann, Noem wears camouflage and uses a flamethrower to torch cardboard boxes in front of a tractor and barn. “Perfect!” she says, facing the camera.
In December 2020, Noem joked, “Is it too late to add something to my Christmas list?” Wegmann reported. It appears that her staff remembered to buy her one in 2022.
The U.S. does not require a background check for flamethrowers, since they are considered tools, not firearms, however, California and Maryland have some restrictions regarding them. You can find large propane torches on Amazon for as little as $50.
Flamethrowers are sometimes used by farmers and ranchers to manage their lands and by firefighters to control fires by torching everything around them.
This year, good old fashioned fun was a reality for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. She received an awesome and unique Christmas gift – the unbelievable flamethrower. Her staff had good reason to give her such a cool and neat gift since she advocates for all things guns and tools like flamethrowers. Needless to say, Noem was amazed by the thoughtful gift and rules it as possibly one of the best gifts she’s ever gotten.
