Democrat Eric Swalwell set himself up for failure after introducing a bill meant to target President Trump and his allies. A resolution sponsored by California Rep. Eric Swalwell and Georgia Rep. Nikema Williams would prohibit Donald Trump from entering the US Capitol again, prompting a sharp response from the former president.
Trump, who is running for president again in 2024, and his allies would be barred from entering the Capitol, according to the resolution. The resolution mentions January 6, Steve Bannon, Mark Meadows, Dan Scavino, Peter Navarro, John Eastman, Rudy Giuliani, Jeffrey Clark, and Kenneth Cheseboro.
The resolution states: “Prohibiting President Donald Trump and certain other individuals who attempted to undermine and overturn the 2020 presidential election from entering the United States Capitol.”
The resolution continues, stating, “The Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives, the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, and the United States Capitol Police shall take such actions as may be necessary to prohibit President Donald John Trump, Steve Bannon, Mark Meadows, Dan Scavino, Peter Navarro, Jeffrey Clark, John Eastman, Kenneth Cheseboro, and Rudy Giuliani from entering the United States Capitol.”
In a statement released Wednesday, Trump attacked Swalwell for the resolution, as well as his alleged sexual relationship with Chinese spy Christine Fang.
On Truth Social, Trump posted, “Little respected Representative Eric Swalwell was just kicked off the Intelligence Committee for reasons of ‘Integrity and lack of Intelligence’ and, for having the poor judgment of dating and falling desperately in love with a Chinese Spy, Fang Fang, whose honey net has gotten massive amounts of information for her beloved China. This idiot is now calling (for publicity purposes only!) for some Great American Patriots, including me, to be banned from the Capitol.”
The resolution triggered the former president to release an incredibly strong statement attacking Swalwell – evidently demonstrating that you don’t mess with Trump. This confirms that the California Rep was a fool for even attempting to initiate such a measure. On top of dealing with backlash from this bill, Swalwell is also facing continual criticism over his alleged relation with the Chinese spy – Fang Fang – which probably made him kick himself for setting himself up for failure and throwing himself in the negative spotlight, AGAIN!
