The left has managed to cheapen the term ‘racist’ by throwing it around like a child throws a toy. Now, they have stooped so low as to label yet another thing as racist in California just to further their own narrative. This misuse of such a once taboo word is now simply being flaunted every time the left wants. Ready to find out their latest target?
California Democrats have taken it upon themselves to combat the use of police K-9 units to make arrests due to the strong claims of racism involved in the history and contemporary use of these dogs for law enforcement. In response to this issue, on February 13th, Democratic Assembly members presented Assembly Bill 742 which is designed to put an end to the use of K-9s as it relates to arrest. This proposed bill strives to remove all hints of racial prejudice in law enforcement and K-9s pose a major threat to racism.
Daily Wire reports, a group of California Democrats and activists are working to outlaw multiple uses of police K-9s in the state, citing allegations of racism both present and historical.
Democratic Assembly members Corey Jackson (Perris) and Ash Kalra (San Jose) introduced Assembly Bill 742 on February 13 to end the use of K-9 units for arrests, apprehensions, and crowd control. It would still be permissible for police dogs to be used in other situations, such as explosive detection or search and rescue operations.
Here is what Corey Jackson said during a press conference announcing the bill last week.
The Democrat said, “I’m always looking for ways to atone for the past. How do we get out systemic racism? How do we get out racism in our narratives? And how do we make sure that we erase practices that are currently being done today that were originated and perfected on our ancestors?”
It’s not surprising that law enforcement has opposed the bill. According to officials, K-9s play a critical role in preventing deadly force from being used against suspects. They believe that the bill will have the opposite effect.
Sheriff Mark Lamb, of Pinal County in Arizona, had some wise words regarding the bil.
It’s clear what the democrats are trying to do here—they want to eliminate law enforcement altogether. First, they made the claim that too many African Americans were killed by cops using their guns; now, they’re trying to say that police dogs are too dangerous. Next time they’ll make up some excuse that in the future that tasers are some what racist because their ancestors wouldn’t want it being used on them. This strategy is misguided and dangerous: law enforcement needs our support or these racist bigots are going to take all the protection our law enforcement needs to do their job. Next thing you know, cop cars are going to be racist because they’re faster than the criminals cars. Just watch!
