Biden’s open border policies failed to stop thousands of immigrants from storming the U.S. in 2021 after his administration ordered the border wall’s construction to end early.
During a House Committee on Homeland Security field hearing this week, Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz disagreed with Biden’s decision to halt construction.
During another part of the hearing, committee chairman Mark Green (R-TN) asked Ortiz if the United States maintains operational control over the border, in which the border chief replied, “no sir”
It is clear that to protect the safety, security, and prosperity of our great nation, a united front must be formed to aid the valiant efforts of our Border Patrol agents who put their lives at risk every day. By dismissing the concerns of experts such as Chief Ortiz, the Biden administration is not only undermining the very foundation of national security but also sending the message that the wellbeing of American citizens is less important than their political agenda. To ensure the continued success of our country, one must acknowledge that the construction and maintenance of a secure border wall is essential, and heed the sound advice of experienced officers like Chief Ortiz. Only in this way can we work towards a brighter and safer future for all Americans.
