Former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii has come out swinging against her former party, as she outlined the reasons people are leaving. The former Congresswoman spoke to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham and pointed out the hypocrisy of the party’s stance on war. Gabbard exclaimed that the Democrats have become ‘warmongers’ and are actively cheering for war, even in Ukraine. Gabbard compared the Democrats of today to those who were an anti-war movement when the presidency of George W. Bush was in full swing. She argued that people are not leaving the party for one core issue, but several, as the Democrats’ lurch to the left becomes more prominent and appealing to radicals. “They’ve gone so far left; they’ve left America. I mean, this is an unrecognizable coalition of radicals,” said host Laura Ingraham. Gabbard agreed with her and stated that Democrats are an elitist cabal that is warmongering, consisting of politicians who are corrupt, big tech, the media, and the national security state. Her view is that they are weaponizing these entities to go after political opponents. It’s a view that is resonating with many people across America.
The Democrats have long-held a stance of being the anti-war party, but with Biden in power, that stance seems to change daily. One only needs to look at the situation in Ukraine to draw this conclusion. President Biden’s Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has sent extra military aid to this region to help fight against Russia. Biden has also already used military force once, against Syria, and that was only in his first 100 days in power. It’s actions like these that have soured the Democrats’ stance on war in the eyes of many voters. They are being hypocritical with their core message of being anti-war.
The Democrats have also gone too far to the left, which is alienating the American public. The party’s ever-increasing move to the extreme left has resulted in factions that are becoming more and more radical. This extreme shift is being reflected in the party’s policies, and voters are concerned. Radical ideas like defunding the police, the Green New Deal, and packing the Supreme Court do not appeal to mainstream Americans and are further pushing voters to the Republican Party, especially as the Republicans are becoming more moderate. The party has become almost unrecognizable to many people.
In conclusion, Gabbard’s sentiments about the Democrat Party are being echoed across America by many undecided voters, and those already affiliated with the GOP. The American public understands that the Democrats have become an elitist cabal of warmongers, who are weaponizing the security state to go after their political opponents. They are so lurching further and further towards insanity, it begs the question whether they have America’s true interests at heart, or if they’ve merely become the caricature so many Conservative politicians warned about.
