Toronto Blue Jays Relief Pitcher Attacked by Woke Mob
Anthony Bass, Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher, is under fire for sharing his support for a boycott of Target and Bud Light on Instagram due to the leftist LGBTQ narrative they push. Despite having Christian values behind his stance, Bass was pressured into issuing an apology.
The attack on Anthony Bass originated from a video he reposted on Instagram, in which Ryan Miller explains “the biblical reason Christians should boycott Target” and Bud Light, and criticizes the corporations for pushing ideas that conflict with these values. Miller stated in the post that “Target has begun pushing the message of transitioning to young people.” The confrontation intensified as Bass eventually issued an apology ahead of a game against the Milwaukee Brewers, admitting his post was “hurtful” to the LGBTQ community.
The question remains whether demanding a stop to the non-stop promotion of “gay pride” in sporting events and ads for products unrelated to sexuality is truly offensive. Bud Light and Target don’t promote heterosexual relationships, so why should they aggressively push the LGBTQ narrative on customers?Â
While Blue Jays Manager John Schneider stated that Bass’ apology was a “first step” in being more accountable for his actions, he also added that more work needs to be done to show understandance of his mistake. The team will continue to make Rogers Center a welcoming place for everyone, which does not reflect Bass’ views as an organization.
In conclusion, Anthony Bass has become the latest target of the ongoing attacks on conservative and Christian values. Despite being forced to apologize, this situation serves as a reminder of the continuous challenges faced by those who do not conform to the leftist narrative.
