Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota, which takes pride in its historical monument, publicly criticized Target for supporting an extremist group that seeks to dismantle America’s foundation of freedom and democracy. The group is known for their extremist views, including wanting to demilitarize the military and promoting anti-cop and anti-veteran rhetoric, as well as opposing Israel. Target’s stock value has dramatically decreased, with over $9 billion lost. It’s a crucial moment for American corporations to operate based on democratic principles to avoid losing the values that make America great.

ESPN personality, Stephen A. Smith, has caused controversy among the Democratic Party for speaking out against President Joe Biden. Smith appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” and shared that he was a registered independent. He expressed that he would prefer former New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, over Biden or any other Democratic candidate running. The bills aim to counteract measures like California’s 2035 requirement for all new cars, trucks, and SUVs sold in the state to run on electricity or hydrogen. The state’s chamber of commerce and energy companies recognise the importance of protecting access to natural gas and other reliable power sources. With New York already banning natural gas stoves and furnaces in new buildings from 2026, Wisconsin needs to stand up to environmental schemes to limit our freedoms.

President Joe Biden’s health was once again brought into question after he fell during the recent U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony. This is not a new issue as the 80-year-old president has had several major falls while in office, displaying a pattern of physical instability. While White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to downplay the situation, the lack of action to address his health issue is worrisome. As the leader of the free world, the American people cannot afford to have a president who is not physically capable of performing his duties. Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, is under fire for attempting to transfer migrants to surrounding counties. In response, over 30 counties issued executive orders banning hotels in their area from accepting migrants sent by Adams. The orders were made after the mayor decided to house migrants in hotels located in other counties across the state, despite the fact that the city itself is a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. Adams took legal action against the orders, alleging that they were based on “specious claims.” However, county officials argue that the influx of migrants has already put a huge strain on local resources, and Adams’ plan is not sustainable. The dispute looks set to continue and has divided the opinion of people across the state.

Senator Marsha Blackburn has reintroduced the End Child Trafficking Now Act to address the growing concern of illegal immigrants using minors to gain entry to the US. Her bill would require DNA testing to confirm any relationships between adults and children who cross the border and mandate a 10-year prison sentence for illegal immigrants who fabricate family ties or guardianship over a minor. It would also criminalize “child recycling,” a horrifying practice where the same child is used repeatedly by illegal immigrant adults who are neither relatives nor legal guardians to gain entry. The Biden administration ending all familial DNA testing at the border could lead to an uptick in more migrants using minors to falsely present themselves as family and seek asylum.
