Country music star Jason Aldean’s latest music video has recently sparked controversy after leftist activists accused him of releasing a “pro-lynching” song. The music video for “Try That In A Small Town” features alarming real news footage of the looting and riots that occurred amid the 2020 BLM protests in Georgia. Despite its true-to-life depiction of what happened during the riots, the music video was removed by Country Music Television (CMT) amidst leftist backlash.
However, it seems like the country singer isn’t taking this accusation sitting down. In fact, he’s fighting back and gaining massive support from conservatives all over the nation. In an extensive Twitter statement, he vehemently denied the accusations and defended his music as a cry for Americans to come together.
“This is America, and I have every right to express my views. I refuse to be silenced by these leftist, cancel culture advocates,” Aldean said. “My song is a rallying cry for Americans to stand up and protect their way of life from these leftist radicals who are tearing our country apart.”
Aldean’s music video was released in May, but it wasn’t until he shared it on July 14 that the backlash began. Leftists accused him of being violent and promoting dangerous behavior against those who oppose him. However, Aldean emphasized that this was not the intention of his video.
“This song is about taking care of your neighbor, regardless of differences in beliefs or backgrounds. It’s a message of hope and unity at a time when our nation is divided,” he explained.
Despite the controversy, Aldean’s song has skyrocketed to the number one spot on the iTunes chart thanks to immense support from the conservative community. People all over the nation are standing up for their right to free speech and joining Aldean in his fight against cancel culture.
In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous.…

“This is a win for freedom of expression in America,” said one conservative commentator. “There is no place for censorship or leftist propaganda in our society, and Aldean’s success proves that the American people will not be silenced.”
If anything, this situation has only proven that the conservative movement is alive and well in America. People are waking up to the dangers of leftist ideology and standing up for their values. With artists like Jason Aldean leading the charge, there is hope for a brighter future where Americans are free to express themselves without fear of retaliation from the left.
