Contrary to the Biden administration’s claims of making progress in handling the border situation, the ground reality paints a far more alarming picture. An upcoming projected figure of around 230,000 border encounters for August potentially marks the highest monthly number in 2023. This is partly due to the Biden administration’s reversal of Trump-era immigration policies such as the “Remain in Mexico” policy, and instead, has resulted in lax immigration policies and an invitation for illegal migrants.
Furthermore, the Biden administration’s lack of preparedness for the influx of unaccompanied minors is also triggering a humanitarian crisis that requires urgent attention and action. As facilities become crowded and unsanitary, the situation has the potential for disease outbreaks, endangering both migrants and American citizens.
More and more American citizens are raising their concerns about the Biden administration’s policies that appear more concerned about supporting illegal immigration than protecting their own citizens.
