As the days grow colder, so does the atmosphere in Illinois. With the implementation of the SAFE-T Act, our great state is on the verge of introducing a law that may very well jeopardize the safety of its citizens. While the objective to decriminalize and decarcerate the criminal justice system may seem noble, we cannot help but question its consequences.
