The Biden administration’s radical environmental agenda is costing American businesses billions of dollars and crippling the economy. The Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy are issuing burdensome regulations that force car companies to produce electric vehicles, despite the crippling financial impact on American companies. And the situation is only getting worse.
Take Ford, for example. The car manufacturer announced it is projected to lose a staggering $4.5 billion this year due to electric vehicles – that’s a $60,000 loss per car produced! And that’s only up from the previous projected loss of $3 billion. Ford’s EV division, called “Ford Model e,” is already $1.8 billion in the red for the year.

To make matters worse, the Biden administration will no doubt argue that taxpayers should bail out Ford and further subsidize their losses in order to comply with Biden’s climate agenda. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre recently touted subsidies from the “Inflation Reduction Act” while falsely claiming they have made electric vehicles more affordable. Such subsidies are nothing but a handout to big corporations at the expense of the American taxpayer.
It’s no surprise that the ongoing United Auto Workers strike against Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler is a direct result of Biden’s forced transition to electric vehicles. Workers are pushing back against this radical agenda that is costing them their jobs. Instead of promoting American industry and creating good-paying jobs, Biden is bowing to the radical left’s anti-business agenda.

The fact is that electric vehicles are not the answer to our environmental challenges. They require rare earth minerals that are harmful to the environment and come with their own set of environmental challenges. Nor are they practical for most Americans. Electric vehicles have limited range and require long charging times, making them impractical for long trips or for working Americans who rely on their cars for their livelihoods.
Biden’s radical environmental agenda is nothing but a job-killing, economy-crippling disaster. It’s time for the American people to reject this anti-business agenda and promote policies that create good-paying jobs and promote American industry.
