While most Americans would consider it an honor to represent the United States on the world stage, freestyle skier Hunter Hess decided to use his Olympic platform to trash the very country paying for his trip. The ungrateful athlete told reporters it was "a little hard" to represent America because of President Trump's common-sense efforts to secure our border and deport criminal illegal aliens.
But President Trump wasn't about to let this disrespectful display slide. In typical Trump fashion, he delivered a reality check that left no doubt about where America's priorities should lie.
Another Spoiled Athlete Bites the Hand That Feeds
Hunter Hess joins the long list of privileged athletes who think their platform gives them the right to lecture hardworking Americans about politics. While Trump is busy cleaning up the massive illegal immigration disaster left behind by the failed Biden regime, Hess apparently thinks securing our border is something to be ashamed of.
This is the same mentality we've seen from the woke sports establishment for years - take America's money, enjoy America's opportunities, then turn around and spit in the face of the taxpayers who made it all possible.
"It's a little hard to be the face of America right now with everything that's going on with the immigration policies," Hess whined to international media.
What's actually hard, Hunter, is watching athletes like you represent a country you clearly don't respect or understand. Trump's immigration policies are exactly what the American people voted for - twice. We want our laws enforced and our borders secured.
Trump Sets the Record Straight
President Trump's response was swift and devastating, reminding this ungrateful skier that representing America is a privilege, not a platform for political grandstanding. The President made it clear that if Hess finds it so "hard" to represent this great nation, perhaps he should reconsider his position on the team.
Patriots across the country are asking the same question: If you're ashamed to represent America, why are you wearing our flag? Maybe Hess should spend less time complaining about border security and more time appreciating the country that gave him the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
What do you think - should athletes who trash America lose their spot on Team USA?
