American figure skater Amber Glenn is discovering that mixing radical LGBT activism with Olympic competition has consequences – and she's not handling the backlash well.

The 26-year-old Texas native, who's representing Team USA at the Winter Olympics, has been facing intense criticism from Americans who are fed up with athletes pushing woke politics instead of focusing on winning for their country. Rather than taking the feedback gracefully, Glenn decided to fire back at what she calls her "haters."

Glenn, who has made her LGBT activism a central part of her public persona, apparently expected universal praise for her political grandstanding on the world's biggest sporting stage. Instead, she's learning that patriotic Americans are tired of watching their Olympic athletes prioritize virtue signaling over athletic excellence.

Another Woke Athlete Missing the Point

This is exactly what's wrong with modern athletics – instead of uniting Americans behind the flag, these woke athletes can't help but divide us with their political activism. While previous generations of Olympians understood they were representing all Americans, today's athletes seem more interested in representing their preferred political causes.

The timing couldn't be worse for Glenn's political theater. With President Trump back in office and Americans clearly rejecting the failed woke agenda of the Biden years, Olympic fans want athletes who compete with pride for the red, white, and blue – not the rainbow flag.

Glenn's defensive response to criticism shows she still doesn't understand her role. Olympic athletes are supposed to inspire unity and national pride, not lecture Americans about progressive politics while wearing the Team USA uniform.

Patriots invested in our Olympic team's success have every right to voice their disappointment when athletes prioritize activism over athleticism. If Glenn can't handle that feedback, maybe she should focus more energy on perfecting her triple axels and less on pushing political agendas.

The question remains: Will other Team USA athletes learn from this backlash, or will they continue alienating the very Americans they're supposed to represent?

This is what happens when you bite the hand that feeds you. American taxpayers support these Olympic programs and we deserve better than being lectured to.

Absolutely right! Our tax dollars shouldn't fund political activism disguised as sports.

Finally Americans are standing up and saying enough is enough! We're tired of having this ideology forced down our throats at every turn.

Actions have consequences - maybe she'll think twice before using her platform to alienate half the country next time.

Athletes need to focus on their sport, not pushing political agendas. We watch the Olympics to see the best compete, not to be lectured about social issues.

Exactly! Keep politics out of sports - that's why ratings keep dropping.

The silent majority isn't so silent anymore. People are fed up with this constant virtue signaling from celebrities and athletes who are completely out of touch with regular Americans.

What happened to just being grateful to represent your country? These athletes today seem more interested in being activists than champions.

Remember when Olympians were humble and proud to wear the flag? Those were better times.

My kids used to love figure skating but now I have to worry about what message they're going to hear. Can't we just enjoy beautiful athletic performances?

Why can't she just skate? That's literally what she's there for!
