New York City's Democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani finally crawled out of hiding Sunday to address what can only be called an Islamic terror attack on American soil – but only after the NYPD bomb squad confirmed the devices hurled at innocent New Yorkers were genuine lethal weapons.
For a full 24 hours, Mamdani – the radical leftist who rode the socialist wave into Gracie Mansion – stayed conspicuously silent while his own city burned and New Yorkers faced down homemade bombs thrown by extremists screaming "Allahu Akbar."
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch was forced to step up where the mayor failed, issuing a statement Sunday confirming what every patriotic American already knew: these weren't "firecrackers" or "pranks" as the mainstream media initially tried to spin. These were actual explosive devices designed to kill and maim innocent people.
"The devices recovered from the scene have been confirmed as improvised explosive devices capable of causing serious injury or death," Commissioner Tisch stated, while notably avoiding the obvious terrorism classification.
This is what happens when Americans elect radical socialists who sympathize more with extremists than with their own constituents. While New Yorkers cowered from actual terrorists, their so-called "leader" was nowhere to be found.
Where Was the Outrage?
Can you imagine if this had been Trump supporters throwing bombs while shouting political slogans? The media would have declared martial law and demanded federal intervention within the hour. But Islamic extremists attack Americans on U.S. soil and we get... crickets from City Hall.
This is the same mayor who's spent more time attacking President Trump's immigration policies than protecting his own citizens from the very threats those policies are designed to prevent.
New Yorkers deserve better than a socialist sympathizer who goes into hiding when real terror strikes their streets. They deserve leadership that puts Americans first – not political correctness and radical ideology.
How many more attacks will it take before Democrats admit their soft-on-terror policies are getting Americans killed?
