Yet another American hero has become the victim of failed immigration policies, as a four-time deported Honduran illegal alien allegedly shoved an elderly Air Force veteran onto New York City subway tracks in a shocking attack that highlights the deadly consequences of sanctuary city madness.
The suspect, who has racked up at least 15 previous criminal charges while somehow remaining in the United States despite multiple deportations, pushed two men onto the tracks in what authorities are calling a deliberate assault. One of the victims served our nation in the Air Force, only to be attacked by someone who should never have been in America in the first place.
The Trump administration is now demanding that NYC officials honor a federal immigration detainer against this repeat offender – a move that would have been unthinkable under the previous administration's catch-and-release policies. But will New York's liberal leadership finally put American lives before their woke ideology?
Four Deportations Weren't Enough
Think about this, Patriots: this criminal has been deported FOUR times, accumulated 15 criminal charges, and was still walking the streets of America's largest city. How is this possible? Because sanctuary cities like New York have spent years protecting illegal aliens from federal immigration enforcement, even when those aliens pose clear dangers to law-abiding Americans.
Under President Trump's renewed immigration enforcement efforts, the administration is cracking down on these sanctuary policies that have turned American cities into hunting grounds for foreign criminals. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has made it clear that the days of protecting criminal aliens over American citizens are over.
"Every time a sanctuary city releases a criminal alien back onto our streets instead of turning them over to ICE, they're gambling with American lives," one immigration enforcement official told reporters.
This Air Force veteran deserved better. Every American deserves better than having to dodge criminals who should be in their home countries, not prowling our subway systems looking for victims.
How many more Americans must be attacked, assaulted, or killed before every city in America starts putting citizens first? The Trump administration is doing its job – when will New York do theirs?
